Dear Anna -
Congrats for your adventure - and for the wonderful text! For now, I have only a "tehnical" question. Maybe you can help me out. I've been two years ago in the Amazon - from Iquitos to Pevas, up the Ampyiacu and explored an relatively unknown tributary - Comejenes (with the help of a couple of Wuitotos and Boras + Aukcoo). (I've even experienced the "frog poison" (Phillomedusa Bicolor - and brought a sample in the USA).
Next year I intend to go again, this time on the Yavari. How did you get from Iquitos to Yavari? There seems to be no connection by water... Who was your guide? (last time I've been with Richard Fowler - Auckoo, but my understanding is that you can;t go now to the Matses without a Matse guide). And last but not least - how much did it cost you?
Thanks,
alin

Hi Dave, I think we need a photo of the lovely, talented, and soon to be famous author, anthropologist, and amazon explorer Anna Kovasna. I'll see what we can come up with. Thanks for the idea...
